Common Questions

Liveaboard FAQ

What certification level is required?

PADI Advanced Open Water + 50 logged dives is the minimum standard for Komodo currents. Some sites (Castle Rock, Cauldron) require Rescue Diver + 100 dives. Open Water divers can join itineraries focused on calmer sites — please mention your certification at booking.

How many dives per day?

Up to 4 dives per day on most itineraries: dawn, mid-morning, afternoon, and optional night dive. Tank turn-around averages 90 minutes including surface interval and briefing.

Can non-divers join the liveaboard?

Yes, snorkellers and non-divers can join most trips at a reduced rate. Snorkel sites at Manta Point and Pink Beach are excellent, and topside excursions (Padar trek, Rinca dragons) work for everyone.
